Teachers’ stress experiences during COVID-19-related emergency remote teaching: Results from an exploratory study

The study provides a portrait of teachers’ stress experience in the face needed introduction information systems (IS) during COVID-19-related emergency remote teaching. Researchers contacted headmasters at several Italian schools, who choose teacher’s representatives. latters shared online questionnaire among colleagues; teachers voluntarily decided to participate. cross-sectional involved 237 (81.5% female; M age = 50.20; SD 8.87). This survey wanted detect systems-related distress and eustress on job, technostress creators inhibitors. Descriptive statistics, correlational analyses, multiple regression model using structural equation modeling were run. As according model, IS-related job dependent variables, inhibitors independent ones, respondents’ gender control ones. Both showed significant relationships with eustress. Technostress positive relationship negative one eustress; conversely, an opposite pattern relationships. Only significantly associate both suggesting that older, female tended more creators. Due increases work, awareness experiences represents key factor evaluate work-related risks prevent stress-related problems. results from this suggest technologies can represent threat one’s well-being, highlighting need provide adequate trainings support, but also resource for personal enrichment.
